Load to Failure and Stiffness

چکیده
Methods: A total of 25 fresh-frozen cadaveric shoulders were randomized into 5 suture configuration groups: single-row repair with simple stitch technique; single-row repair with modified Mason-Allen technique; double-row Mason-Allen technique; doublerow cross-bridge technique; and double-row suture bridge technique. Load and displacement were recorded at 100 Hz until failure. Stiffness and bone mineral density were also measured.

Cyclic Loading Tests for Cold-Formed Steel Wall Frames with Lightweight Concrete
Lightweight steel framing is a method in housing and construction that have been widely used in lightweight steel construction. In this method, the structure is built by cold formed steel elements. They are cost-effective, light, and easy to assemble. However, the performance of lateral load resisting systems in cold-formed steel structures specially the behavior of cold-formed steel shear wall...
متن کاملComparison of Stiffness and Failure Behavior of the Laminated Grid and Orthogrid Plates
The present paper investigates the advantages of a new class of composite grid structures over conventional grids. Thus far, a known grid structure such as orthogrid or isogrid has been used as an orthotropic layer with at most in-plane anisotropy. The present laminated grid is composed of various numbers of thin composite grid layers. The stiffness of the structure can be adjusted by choosing ...
متن کاملTension Performance of Metal-Plate Connected Joints of Chinese Larch Dimension Lumber
Tension tests of metal-plate connected (MPC) joints for Chinese larch (Larix gmelinii (Rupr.) Rupr.) were conducted in four orientations. Loaddeflection curves were obtained for each MPC jointed specimen. Ultimate tension load, translation stiffness, stiffness at large slip, and failure modes for each specimen were obtained. A Foschi 3-parameter model was found to fit the load-deflection curves...
متن کاملSliding Friction Contact Stiffness Model of Involute Arc Cylindrical Gear Based on Fractal Theory
Gear’s normal contact stiffness played an important role in the mechanical equipment. In this paper, the M-B fractal model is modified and the contact surface coefficient is put forward to set up the fractal model, considering the influence of friction, which could be used to calculate accurately the involute arc cylindrical gears’ normal contact stiffness based on the fractal theory and Hertz ...
متن کاملTwisting and Braiding Reduces Strength and Stiffness of Hamstrings Grafts Used for Acl Reconstruction
Studies of animal tendons have not yielded clear conclusions about how graft configuration affects stiffness and strength. A recent study of sheep tendons [1] showed that two different braiding techniques reduced failure load by 47% and 57%, respectively, from the parallel strand configuration. Braiding reduced stiffness by 82% and 85%. In a study of calves’ tendons [2], braiding and twisting d...
متن کاملBuckling Behavior of Composite Plates with a Pre-central Circular Delamination Defect under in-Plane Uniaxial Compression
Delamination is one of the most common failure modes in composite structures. In the case of in-plane compressional loading, delamination of a layered flat structure can cause a local buckling in delaminated area which subsequently affects the overall stiffness of the initial structure. This leads to an early failure of the overall structure. Moreover, with an increase in load, the delaminated ...
